BMA eases restrictions on 13 types of business establishment from January 22, 2021


Bangkok City Hall (Sao Chingcha): Pol.Capt. Pongsakorn Kwanmuang, BMA Spokesman, revealed the relaxation of measures to allow the reopening of some premises stated in the Announcement of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) on Order of Temporary Closure of Premises No. 15 and No. 16. Since the issuance of BMA measures to control the spread of COVID-19 during its latest surge, the BMA uses one month to control the spread of COVID-19 and the number of infected persons is decreasing to a certain extent. In this regard, the BMA would like to express its gratitude to all parties for their kind cooperation in actively complying with the BMA measures. At present, the BMA Committee on the Communicable Diseases agrees to ease restrictions and allows the following 13 business establishments to reopen starting from January 21, 2021: 1. Game machine arcades, 2. Gaming centers and internet cafes, 3. Elderly care centers, 4. All kinds of sport fields/arenas except boxing stadiums and horse racing courses, 5. Places providing services on catering rooms, catering venues and those similar venues, 6. Amulet trading markets and centers, 7. Beauty salons (excluding aesthetic or medical clinic) and premises for tattooing or piercing of skin or any parts of the body, 8. Fitness centers, 9. Health establishments, spas and establishments for Thai traditional massage and foot massage (excluding massage parlors), 10. Boxing training venues and gymnasiums or boxing gyms, 11. Bowling alleys, skating rings or rollerblading arenas or similar activities, 12. Social/ballroom dance schools or academies, and 13. Martial arts schools (gyms).
