Pol.Lt.Gen. Sopon Pisuttiwong, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, presided over the ceremony to recall the royal grace of King Chulalongkorn the Great (Rama V) in founding King Taksin Memorial Hospital and commemorate its 117th anniversary. Having been providing services for a very long time, at present, the King Taksin Memorial Hospital has at all times been renowned and recognized by many people and has outstanding service standard. During the past 117 years, the hospital has developed its medical services as well as personnel and technology to be more and more advanced.

Moreover, the hospital is currently under the process of constructing the 23-storey multipurpose building which will be completed in 2023. This building can accommodate inpatients of up to 600 beds and provide services to both outpatients and inpatients which has been increasing each year. This will also enhance capacity in providing medical service for the people living both in Thon Buri side (west of the Chao Phraya River) and the neighboring areas.
